Eligibility Criteria

A) Educational Qualification:

Candidates applying for the JPSC Forest Range Officer position must have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following subjects: Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Forestry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Environmental Science, or related subjects. An Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering is also acceptable.

C) Interview:

The interview carries 50 marks, and it is mandatory for all candidates who pass the Mains Examination. The interview board will assess the candidates based on various criteria, despite no minimum mark requirement.

D) Physical Test:

Candidates who qualify for the written examinations must pass the physical fitness test. Failure to do so will result in disqualification, regardless of the written exam scores.

E) Medical Test:

A medical examination will be conducted by a medical board chaired by the civil surgeon of Ranchi.
