Age Limit for SSC Constable GD 2025

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 23 years (as of 1st January 2025)

• Candidates must have been born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2007.

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE):
   • The exam will be an objective-type test comprising four sections:
     • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 20 questions, 40 marks
     • General Knowledge & Awareness: 20 questions, 40 marks
     • Elementary Mathematics: 20 questions, 40 marks
     • English/Hindi Language: 20 questions, 40 marks
   • Duration: 60 minutes
   • Total Marks: 160
   • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer​
2. Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
   • PST involves measuring height and chest (for males) to ensure they meet the prescribed physical standards.
   • PET involves running events:
     • Male: 5 km in 24 minutes
     • Female: 1.6 km in 8.5 minutes.
3. Medical Examination:
   • Candidates who pass the PST/PET will undergo a detailed medical examination conducted by the CAPFs to ensure they meet the required health standards.
4. Document Verification (DV):
   • Candidates will need to present original documents such as their matriculation certificate, domicile certificate, and caste certificate (if applicable) during the verification process.
