Pattern of Examination
The Objective Type Test (Paper I) includes the following sections:

- The duration of the examination will be 120 minutes.

CUJ Non-Teaching Syllabus 2024: for Paper-I
Section 1 – General Awareness (30 Marks)
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India especially about Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
Section 2 – Reasoning & General Intelligence (20 Marks)
This component may include questions on

Section 3 – Mathematical Ability (20 Marks)
The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test may cover topics such as computation of

Section 5 – Hindi or English Language (20 Marks)
English:
- Spot the Error
- Fill in the Blanks
- Synonyms and Antonyms
- Spelling/Detecting Misspelt words
- Idioms & Phrases
- One word substitution
- Active/Passive Voice
- Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration
- Shuffling of Sentence parts
- Comprehension Passage.

हिंदी के प्रश्न निम्नलिखित क्षेत्र पर आधारित हैं –

Note: The Scheme of Examination & Syllabus for Paper II and Skill Test (Typing/Trade/Computer Proficiency Test, wherever applicable) for direct recruitment of all the Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts shall be made available in the University website in due course of time.
