Selection Process for CISF Constable

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

2. Physical Standard Test (PST)

• Height: 170 cm (with relaxations for certain categories)
• Chest: 80-85 cm (Minimum expansion of 5 cm)
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
• The PST assesses whether candidates meet the required physical measurements. Only those who meet the standards are eligible for the subsequent stages.

3. Document Verification (DV)

• Candidates who clear the PET and PST will have their documents verified. This includes verifying educational qualifications, age, category, and other eligibility criteria based on the information provided during the application process.

4. Written Examination

• Mode: OMR-based or Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Type: Objective type with multiple-choice questions
• Total Questions: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will carry 1 mark. There may or may not be negative markings; candidates should refer to the official notification for details.
• The written examination assesses the candidate’s general intelligence, awareness, numerical ability, and language skills.

5. Medical Examination

• Candidates who qualify for the written examination will undergo a detailed medical examination conducted by the CISF medical board.
• The medical examination ensures that candidates are physically and mentally fit for the duties of a CISF Constable.

6. Final Selection

• The final selection will be based on the performance in the written examination, subject to qualifying in the PET, PST, and medical examination.
