RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2024

The RRB Paramedical 2024 notification invites applications for various paramedical positions under the Ministry of Railways. The recruitment process is governed by Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) No. 04/2024. Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee as part of the submission process:

Age Limit

The age limits for RRB Paramedical 2024 positions are calculated as of January 1, 2025. The general age range for most posts falls between 18 and 43 years, with specific limits varying by position.

Detailed Age Limits by Post

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: Ranges from 33 to 43 years depending on the post.

• Nursing Superintendent: 20 to 43 years
• Audiologist & Speech Therapist: 21 to 33 years

Age Relaxation

To provide relief to those who may have missed recruitment opportunities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a one-time age relaxation of 3 years beyond the prescribed upper age limit is offered for all categories:

• SC/ST candidates: Additional 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: Additional 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation according to the length of service in the armed forces
• PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities):
  • General/EWS: 10 years
  • OBC: 13 years
  • SC/ST: 15 years
• Railway employees with at least 3 years of service: Up to 40 years for UR/EWS, 43 years for OBC, and 45 years for SC/ST
• Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Judicially Separated but not Remarried: Up to 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST

Qualification

Candidates must possess the necessary educational qualifications as specified for each post. Selection Process

The selection process for RRB Paramedical 2024 consists of three primary stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Document Verification (DV)
3. Medical Examination

Each stage is designed to assess different aspects of a candidate’s suitability for the various paramedical positions available.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

The CBT is the first and most critical stage of the selection process:

• The single-stage CBT consists of objective-type questions.
• The duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.

2. Document Verification (DV)

Candidates who clear the CBT are shortlisted for the Document Verification stage:

• Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted strictly based on merit, corresponding to the number of vacancies.
• Required Documents: Candidates must produce original documents such as educational certificates, age proofs, community certificates, and other relevant documents. Failure to present these documents will result in disqualification.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria: In cases where two or more candidates have the same score, the older candidate will be given preference based on their date of birth.

3. Medical Examination

After the Document Verification, selected candidates undergo a Medical Examination:

• Medical Standards: Candidates must meet the required medical fitness standards relevant to the post they have applied for. The examination will be conducted by the Railway Administration.
• Medical Fitness Criteria: The criteria include general physical fitness, vision standards, and other health parameters. Candidates who do not meet the medical standards will not be eligible for appointment, regardless of their performance in the previous stages.

Final Selection

The final selection is based on:

• Performance in CBT
• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness

Only candidates who successfully clear all stages will be considered for appointment to the RRB Paramedical posts. The final list of selected candidates will be published on the respective RRB’s official website, and offer letters will be issued by the concerned Railway Administration

Salary for RRB Paramedical

The salary structure for RRB Paramedical positions follows the 7th CPC Pay Matrix:

• Level 7: ₹44,900/- (e.g., Dietician, Nursing Superintendent)
• Level 6: ₹35,400/- (e.g., Audiologist & Speech Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Dental Hygienist, Dialysis Technician, Health & Malaria Inspector Gr III, Laboratory Superintendent, Perfusionist, Physiotherapist Grade II, Occupational Therapist, Cath Laboratory Technician )
• Level 5: ₹29,200/- (e.g., Pharmacist, Radiographer X-Ray Technician, Speech Therapist)
• Level 4: ₹25,500/- (e.g., ECG Technician, Optometrist, Cardiac Technician)
• Level 3: ₹21,700/- (e.g., Lab Assistant Grade II)
